This daunting corporate monolithic structure is located across the street from my office and belongs to The St. Petersburg Times. The Society for News Design, which recognizes excellence in newspaper design and photography, recently awarded our little 'ol newspaper with nine news design awards, which is the Times' best showing in the 28 years the contest has been around. The awards arrive on the heels of the paper's redesigned new look, which was launched in October.
